The end of the year is always 1 of the busiest periods, besides Chinese New Year. At least here in Singapore. There’re Dad’s and Grandma’s birthdays, followed by Bro’s wedding, then Christmas and New Year! I’ve started making plans to catch up with a friend soon in January 2017 as well!
Chinese New Year is the most fun because I get to see cousins I usually don’t see on normal days. There’s the usual rush to buy new clothes, as is customary, plus planning for the annual lao yu sheng which is a must for auspicious reasons. Since Chinese New Year is in January, I must watch the waistline carefully!
The end of the year is very rainy, so it’s been freezing in the office. I got food poisoning a week back due to contaminated chicken wings. Ler suffered the same after eating the same thing at the same stall! Good grief, the tummy pain was unbearable : /
If not for eating well and regular exercise, I wouldn’t have the energy for all the activities in December. Plus we’re always so wary of the year-end weight gain, aren’t we? 😛 As long as we enjoy the festive goodies in moderation, there really isn’t anything to worry about. We won’t become plus-size.
I’m still thinking of what to do with K and family for Christmas. Hope I find a nice place to bring them soon. They so enjoy spending family time with me.
Wishing you fun,
