A healthy lunch

Chris texted to catch up over lunch and I was too glad to meet.  Things were hectic due to changes in the management’s direction and the decisions from head office required lots of planning.  Many top brass suddenly found themselves out of a job.  It led to a lot of uncertainty amongst those who remain.

Having known Chris for 10 years now, we’re pretty close.  Being a lawyer, he has to attend trials and liaise with clients.  We try to catch up once a month to relax and update each other about our lives.  It’s always good to see a friend when the going gets tough.

Because it was a weekday, I requested that we eat healthy.  He gladly obliged and took me to Hyatt where I had potato and leek soup and a main of rice, spinach and teriyaki sea bass.  It was sooooooooo good!  We enjoyed our food and had a good catch up.  It was great!

Friends should be supportive of our positive endeavours, whether it involves healthy eating or an ambitious project and vice versa.  This is the way it should be.  True friends won’t try to sabotage you, discourage you, nor lead you astray.  It is also the reason I refuse to participate in the body positive community.

I don’t support bullying fat people.  However, neither will I agree with obese women encouraging unhealthy eating habits and lifestyles.  It is harmful to others and causes them to eventually develop life-threatening obesity-related diseases.  How could I, in good conscience, condone that?

Wishing you fun,
