#BodyLove 2016 – Japanese goodness

Japanese is 1 of the healthiest cuisines, ever!  It’s good news for lovers of healthy eating because there’s so much good food for us to enjoy.  My man and I enjoy sashimi, which makes dining together more pleasurable because we can share all the yummy fresh fish!  What can be better than guilt-free indulgence? : )

Salmon mentaiki sushi

Salmon mayo rolls topped with ebiko

Spicy tuna rolls topped with mentaiki and ebiko

We started with these.  I introduced my man to mentaiki and he’s loved it ever since! 😀  I haven’t had the time to experiment in the kitchen ever since my relative fell ill, but once recovery is stable after the discharge from hospital, I’m going to try making some mentaiki sauce from scratch! 😀

Salmon sashimi

Japanese egg pancake

The egg was nice but we weren’t that crazy about the barbeque sauce and mayo.  The taste was far too strong and overwhelmed the natural fragrance of tasty eggs.

Tofu in white sesame sauce with bonito flakes

My man loves agedeshi tofu, but I introduced him to something different.  There’s a very delicious version of tofu in white sesame sauce at Hide Yamamoto at Marina Bay Sands, but we spotted something similar on the menu.  So I ordered it and he gave it a try and……………….. he likes it!

We ate so much that we were extremely stuffed 😛  Still, it’s healthy food so we didn’t feel lethargic.  The same can’t be said for junk food.  Grab a healthy bite now!

Wishing you fun,
