#BodyLove 2016 – Healthy snack

My stay in the US was an eye-opener.  The supermarkets stocked astonishing varieties of products and food!  Before living there, I hadn’t heard of Blue Bunny ice cream, nor tasted the delicious creamy vanilla ice cream with chocolate bunnies filled with divine peanut butter.

Before living in the US, I hadn’t heard of pizza pockets but boy, were there absolutely delicious and came in different flavours too!  What struck me most, however, was the portion sizes of everything – cartons of milk and cereal, loaves of bread, fast food and restaurant meals, etc etc etc etc etc.

It’s easy to overeat there and eat poor quality food too.  What can I say?  The fast food there is delicious.  Had I eaten that everyday or gorged on despite feeling stuffed, my health probably would’ve worsened terribly by today.

Back home in Singapore, while I miss pizza pockets and Blue Bunny ice cream once in awhile, I still get to have yummy snacks such as these adorable salmon sushi rolls.  They usually come in mini packs of 2’s, just enough to appease a hungry tummy until dinner time : )

So there you have it, yet another suggestion of a healthy snack (pssssst, they’re delicious!) to add to your list.  Whatever happened to eating healthy is boring? *wink*
