#BodyLove 2016 – go ahead, eat meat!

Last year, I happily busted the lies body positive LIARS spread about healthy eating.  In 2016, I’ll continue happily proving that what they say is UNTRUE and HARMFUL to their community.  Ditch the lies, ditch these negative people and embrace healthy eating because…

You don’t need to lead a miserable existence and survive only on kale, vegetable and fruit juices and carrot, celery and zucchini sticks, although they’re also bloody delicious (what the heck, I’m your average foodie :P).

Good news if you’re a meat lover like me, because YOU CAN EAT MEAT!  In fact, meat is part of a balanced meal.  The body positive LIARS denied themselves essential nutrients and vitamins; no wonder they felt ill when they dieted!


Steamboat/hotpot dinners are wonderful.  The only preparation you need to do is cook up a nutritious and flavourful stock, which only gets tastier as you dip various meats, seafood or veggies in it to cook them AND slice up all your fresh ingredients.

There’s a variety of soup bases you can use for steamboat/hotpot – tom yum, kimchi, curry, laksa (good grief, my mouth is watering!), chicken, anchovies, bak kut teh, pork ribs and corn, dried cuttlefish and many more!

After you’ve finished all the food, crack an egg, stir it into the soup and slurp it all up!  Now who says that healthy eating means you can’t eat meat?  And who says it’s boring?  Never believe those lies ever again : )
