#BodyPositive – healthy snack recipe

Can meat be a healthy snack?  Of course!  I fixed this tasty treat on a weekend when my man and I had an attack of the munchies.  It’s a very simple recipe that doesn’t require much time to prepare and it’s ultra delicious with beer!

Marinade pork mince with oyster sauce, Chinese rice wine and black pepper overnight.  Melt butter in a skillet, roll the minced meat into little balls, cover and cook them on low-medium heat for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side depending on the size of the pork balls.

While cooking, the marinade and a little fat will ooze out from the meat.  Not to worry, it’s fine.  Just serve the liquid with the pork balls when they’re done.  Sprinkle mixed herbs and add a dash of Chinese rice wine before turning off the heat and serving.

Cooking is therapeutic and takes our minds off stressful stuff like work or unpleasant incidents.  It provides a lot of flexibility, taste-wise, because we can use whatever meat we like and add the seasonings we want.

Home-made meals don’t take up a lot of time like modern feminists claim.  Marinating the meat takes only a couple of minutes, max.  Cooking these darlings only takes up 10 minutes.  You and your loved ones get to enjoy the food afterwards.

Taking care of ourselves and those we cherish include caring for their health.  In this way, they get to enjoy our company for a longer time and vice versa.  Moreover, all of us have more energy throughout the day for activities.  Isn’t this quality time spent together?
