Mackerel, ginger, onions and please, a sense of humour!

If you google for the benefits of ginger, you’ll find that they’re very good for health indeed!  They also add a slightly spicy and fragrant zing to dishes, so I tend to use them from time to time in my cooking.  Ginger tastes good with fish, seafood and chicken.  It’s also yummy in certain soups, so it’s a very versatile ingredient! : )

Marinade mackerel overnight in equal parts Japanese shoyu and Japanese rice or grain vinegar and Japanese red pepper.  Melt butter and mix with a little Japanese shoyu and rice/grain vinegar and fry ginger at medium heat for about 2 to 3 minutes.  Add the mackerel and fry till the skin is crisp.

Turn the mackerel to the other side and add the onions.  Continue frying and mixing till the sauce is distributed evenly and the onions are tender.  Season with more Japanese shoyu and rice/grain vinegar if needed.  Finish off with a dash of sherry just before serving.

The reason online discussion platforms, forums and the comments section of articles are filled with so much hatred and vitriol is because people – MANY people – lack a sense of humour and the ability to laugh at themselves.  They make very poor companions and friends when everyone has to be sooooooo bloody careful about what they say.

‘Check your laughing privilege!  You’ll hurt our fee fees!’

How much fun is it when you’re joking, teasing and enjoying laughs with your friends when a party pooper or wet blanket decides to give you a lecture about humanity, compassion, kindness and empathy? *roll eyes*  My man would probably be miserable if I didn’t take his sexist remarks in good stride and laugh it off, as well as give back as good as I can!

Everyone is stressed out enough at work – unless you aren’t – and, unless we retain a sense of humour, we’ll eventually morph into miserable, angry people………… much like…

This guy in Disqus known as TruthSetsYouFree – only it’s HIS truth and if it’s not HIS truth, you can bet you’ll be insulted like hell about your appearance, your personality, yadda yadda yadda *YAWN*  If I didn’t have a sense of humour and were over-sensitive, muh fee fees would’ve been sooooo hurt.  Oh boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo!

Unfortunately, the fun ended too quickly when he realised that instead of getting me angrier, I was just poking fun at him back and making him look more ridiculous.  He was even mistaken for an angry lesbian!  AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

‘You’re an idiot, a moron, I hate skinny girls blah blah blah blah blah.’ – TruthSetsYouFree 😛

Not sorry 😛

Wishing you fun,
