Mini double lamburgers

I got lambasted by hateful overweight women because I dared to *gasp in horror* mention that I remain a size 2 despite enjoying pizza, fried chicken, sausages and curries.  I didn’t even say anything insulting about fat people!  It’s enough to make anyone’s eyes tired from rolling in their sockets.

Yeah ok, call me smug or arrogant, go on and try to police what people say. It only makes you incredibly unpleasant company when people around you need to tiptoe on eggshells and be oh so mindful of what they say, even if they don’t mean any harm or harbour an intention to insult. In the meantime, I shall enjoy homemade lamburgers.

They’re lamburgers because………………….. the patties are minced lamb 😛  Season the meat with oyster sauce, ground black pepper and Guinness.  The last brings out the flavour of the lamb even more.  Shape into little balls, then flatten slightly to form adorable little patties.  Brush both sides lightly with beaten egg.

Break a slice of cheddar into quarters, then place 2 on top of 1 patty.  Cover with another, press down lightly, then wrap each patty with cling foil and bung them in the fridge for a few hours.  Don’t these look cute??? : )  I took half a day off work to prepare these on a Friday, then sent my man the photos before frying them.

Let’s just say he finished work 2 hours earlier than expected 😛

Melt a little butter on medium-high heat until it starts to sizzle.  Fry the lamburgers till each patty is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside and the cheese melts.

Voila!

Wishing you fun,
